Why do we recommend TSC label printers?
The answer to this question is simple to answer. It comes down to after sales and service. Andtech only recommends equipment that we can support 100%. If we do not have access to spares, then we don’t recommend the brand, In fact we we don’t even actively market brands that deny us access to parts.
This does not mean that We will no longer support the products, It means that We source the products and spares from outside of South Africa. This may take a little longer, but the result is that You, our valued customer is protected against the shenanigans of the local distributors.
Some label printer brands insist that the printer must be repaired in their authorised workshops. This means that your printer must be removed from your site, Taken to their workshop and left there for who knows how long. After the repair has been performed, It must then be collected and returned to your site. This means that you the customer can’t use your equipment for anything from two days to six weeks.
They then have what is known as standard repair rates, so if there is nothing actually wrong with your printer, it could cost you R1835.00 Exc vat ( actual charges levied on a NFF printer ). What a rip off. They get this right by denying the resellers access to parts, thereby forcing the reseller to bring the printer to their “Authorised repair centres”.
